ESSIE MAE WASHINGTON-WILLIAMS DIES AT AGE 87

Essie Mae Washington-Williams dies at age 87 in Columbia, South Carolina on Monday February 4, 2013. Washington-Williams was the "black" daughter of South Carolina legendary white politician Sen. Strom Thurmond. Thurmond died five months prior to Washington-Williams press conference announcing to the world that she was his daughter in 2003. Thurmond died at the age of 100.
